My Approach

I am a person centred, integrative Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Sandplay Therapist and wellbeing practitioner. Through these therapy approaches I am able to support your needs fully; offering space for you to explore your whole being, wider life and personal connections. My approach sees me draw from holistic, trauma-informed, humanistic, psychodynamic and mindfulness based practises.

My therapy work also sees me bring into the therapeutic space interventions and practises from Play Therapy, sand tray and the arts as a whole.

I believe that complimentary therapies can help open up an opportunity for individuals to tune into their own wellbeing, emotions and body. When it is asked for or it feels appropriate, crystals, essential oils, flowers and colour therapy are woven into the therapeutic space.

I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental, inclusive space for people to move and work in, whilst being accessible and inclusive to all. I have a vast amount of experience of working with those who have various mental health needs, physical and sensory needs as well as supporting those from BAME backgrounds.

If you would like to talk with me about any accessibility or personal needs then please do not hesitate to contact me via the contact page.

Across all my therapy and wellbeing work I have supported individuals and groups in a wide range of settings; NHS, educational, charity & community sector, forensic and prison services, military community as well as independent therapy centres.

I have supported clients from the ages of 5 years all the way up in to their 70s+ and have supported clients with a range of needs from mental health, trauma, physical disabilities and difficulties, dementia and perinatal mental health wellbeing, to name but a few areas.

I have full insurance and hold a current enhanced DBS. I am a fully registered member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK (ADMP UK) and the World Association of Sand Therapy Professionals and I abide by their code of ethics and professional practice, along with that of BACP and UKCP.

I regularly attend CPD and skills based training. Most recently I have gained a certificate in Sandplay Therapy. Additionally I have undertaken training to support parents after pregnancy, baby and infant loss, seeing me being able to support parents as a rainbow Baby and Infertility Specialist practitioner.

Most recently I have been working in primary schools with children and their parents, as well as ex-service men and women.
